One man shared how hotel staff didn’t disappoint when they made a rather unusual request. TikToker Thomas was going to spend two nights at the NOVOTEL hotel in Melbourne. Before arriving at the hotel, he emailed the staff and asked them to “hide” an apple in his room.

“Hello, I’m going to stay two nights with you from Thursday 10/31 to Saturday 11/2 and I was wondering if I could ask for a favor? It might sound a little strange, but can you please hide an apple somewhere in my I travel often and these little games help distract me from work and reduce my stress levels, ”he wrote in the email.

Thomas added: “I’m not concerned with the type of apple because I like them all. I recently had a ‘Papple’ that I didn’t really like – I believe it was a pear / apple hybrid.”

The hotel responded later that day, saying they would do their best to accommodate his request.

When Thomas arrived at the hotel, the receptionist “laughed” when she saw his name and asked, “So are you the apple guy?” She informed him that five apples had been hidden in her room.

In his bedroom, Thomas found a handwritten note on his bed. He would say, “Dear Thomas, the house is where the apples are hidden and the water is in plain sight. Let me know how many apples you find. Franzi.”

He found an apple each in the safe, under the bed covers, in the refrigerator. The fourth was in a drawer on the bedside table.

However, he searched for the fifth apple for “far too long” and decided to sleep.

The next morning he continued the hunt and found the last apple in the pot.

Internet users were impressed by the hotel staff who went the extra mile to meet demand.

One user said, “This is good customer service. Another joked, “A great way to get free snacks.” Yet another noted: “She really went above and beyond for this one.”
