Hilton Garden Inn debuts Australia in Albany

Australia opened its first hotel under the Hilton Garden Inn brand, with guests now welcomed to the brand’s first property in the city of Albany, Western Australia, marking the company’s fourth hotel in the state.

Two years after its initial announcement, the 108-room hotel owned by Foreshore Management made its long-awaited debut, with guests enjoying the vibrant scene surrounding the Albany Waterfront Marina.

The available rooms are configured in King, Twin and Accessible configurations, six of which overlook the marina. Each room includes “Suite Dreams by Serta” beds, smart TVs, desk with ergonomic chair, free Wi-Fi and sofa beds also located in adjoining rooms.

The hotel is located 20 minutes from Albany Airport and within walking distance of the city center.

Heidi Kunkel, vice president of operations for Hilton in Australasia, said the new opening builds on the company’s existing presence in Washington state, which includes the newly refurbished Hilton Parmelia Perth, DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge and the DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront.

“Its openness demonstrates our continued commitment to the state and our first foray into the Western Australia region,” Kunkel said.

On-site facilities also include a downstairs restaurant serving buffet breakfast and dinner daily, an adjacent bar and lounge serving a bite-size menu and featuring a full menu of local WA wines from the region.
